Summary of team batting first innings:
Meltham won the toss putting Thongsbridge into bat. Leo Berry and Gabriel Cullaigh opened and got the innings off to an excellent start. Gabriel was run out having scored 20 and Leo once again passed the 25 mark and was forced to retire on 28. The strong start continued with David Wagstaff scoring 23 and Edward Heald a lively 18. The innings finished with Alex James and Alex McAndrew the not out batsmen. A final total of 120 for 4 was reached at the completion of our 20 overs which was a good target to set.

Summary of team batting second innings:
Meltham batsmen came to the wicket needing 6 an over. Tight bowling from our opening bowlers set the standard. One Meltham opener was clean bowled by David Wagstaff in the third over which put the pressure on the away team. The Meltham captain William Fraine retired on 28. Andrew Atkinson, playing in his first Under 13 game had a fine match in the field – he took a catch and finished with bowling figures of 3 for 12. Luke Ellis Craven took a couple of catches as did Ophelia Donlon. Ophelia and David “Chucky” Wallwork also finished with 2 wickets each. The good fielding continued from the previous game with two batsmen being run out as a result of this.

Result: Thongsbridge win by 6 wickets
Match Summary:
Once again a very good all round performance – solid batting with our top order all contributing runs. In the field we were impressive again taking all our catches and bowling good line and length.
