Summary of team batting second innings:
Almondbury got off to a flyng start against some early wayward bowling as they raced to 223-0 in the first 4 overs. However Thongsbridge kept their composure and Andrew Cuthill spectacularly ran out Khan of the Weslyians with a great throw and then followed up by taking an easy catch off Liam Johnson’s bowling. Heather Crossley weighed in with a wicket thanks to a smart catch by wicket keeper Jasper Donlon. Heather, Liam, John Hodgson and Max Miller bowled 9 overs in the middle of the innings and really brought Thongsbridge back into the game. Ben Lindley took a great catch at mid wicket off John’s bowling to make it a tense last 6 overs. Jack Wilson juggled his bowlers and Andrew, Thomas and Ben between them took a further 2 wickets and tied the batsmen up as they tried to hit the runs required. There was some excellent fielding, especially from Liam, John and Max.
Final innings score; 260-6 (212 net score)

Match Summary: An excellent victory against a team we usually struggle against. Overall we batted very well and then bowled and fielded even better. A great victory.
