Summary of team batting firsts innings:

The game opened with Tommy Woodhead and Ben Lindley facing a steady stream of fast bowling from Delph and Dobcross.  Together with accurate bowling and well backed up fielding it was hard for the Thongsbridge batsmen to move beyond snatching single runs. Andrew Cuthill and Shaun Burrows broke through the solid fielding with a fine four each.Thongsbridge concentrated on defending their wickets and taking some risky runs.

Summary of team batting second innings:

Thongsbridge bowled an fielded well throughout the Delph & Dobcross innings but were unable to take many wickets against a very solid batting effort from Delph and Dobcross. Connor Garlick made the initial breakthrough midway through the innings by clean bowling one of their batsmen. Tommy Woodhead took a fine caught and bowled late on and Connor Garlick provided some smart fielding with a great catch off Andrew Cuthill in the final over.Josh Ratcliffe made a brave return to the field late on following being hit on the knee whilst doing some fine fielding. Overall a good effort by Thongsbridge against league leaders.

Match Summary:               

Great team effort shown by Thongsbridge whilst facing some fast and accurate bowling and good batting from Delph and Dobcross. Good contributions from all the players. On another day and with a little more luck Thongsbridge may have picked up another 3 or 4 wickets to make it a closer game
