Tommy Woodhead and Jasper Donlon opened the batting with a good solid partnership adding 13.Ben Lindley (5) and Lewis Kenworthy (14) added a great 19. Kate Marshall making her debut came in next with Jack Wilson with the latter scoring a superb 21. Heather Crossley and Fabien Cullaigh played well and lost no wickets adding a further 9 runs. The last pair of Andrew Cuthill (7) and Max Mellor (9) finished the innings with Max scoring a great boundary. A good solid batting performance from the team.

Summary of team batting second innings:
Marsden struggled against some very good bowling from Thongsbridge. AII the bowlers took wickets, which was pleasing to see. Kate Marshall on her debut and Max Mellor bowled straight and both took a wicket which will be good for their confidence. Heather Crossley finished with figures of 2-0 with some great bowling.The pick of the bowling however was from Jack Wilson with a season best of 4-2 off 2 overs. In the field their were catches for Lewis Kenworthy and Tommy Woodhead and a great stumping from Jasper Donlon.One of the best bowling performances of the season overall.

 

Final innings score: 230-13 (126 net score)

 

Result: Thongsbridge won by 144 runs

 

Match Summary: Overall a very good batting and bowling performance from Thongsbridge against a young but enthusiastic Marsden side. Credit to Marsden for not giving up, well done.
